Trading Trades with Factored
Money makes the world go around but it’s not the only means of tender; time, knowledge and craftsmanship are the most valuable commodities we trade within the creative and digital sectors.
Working with the talented guys at Factored has been a blast, their eye for slick design made them the obvious choice as architects of Sound & Colour’s new website. In return we produced a series of Expert Clips for their social media campaign, and a Promo Film to show potential new clients what Factored are all about during the pitching process.
The project started with a meeting at our Beehive Loft offices in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Here we discussed both our brands and how we were looking to develop them further; we wanted a clean and slick website design that would match and showcase our style of cinematography. Using video Factored wanted to showcase their expertise in short 25 second Instagram clips and explain their design process in a longer promotional film. Just back from a design convention in New York, Tom and Dan were brimming with fresh ideas and together we started to flesh out our concepts.
A few short weeks later we were ready to start filming the expert clips for the Instagram campaign; we filmed at Media City’s lounge bar On The 7th, which was the perfect backdrop for the interviews. Before we started rolling, Dan showed us the first concepts for our new website and we were blown away by the quality of the design. With only a few tweaks it made the basis for the site you see today.
Our second shoot day was scorching hot; we visited Factored HQ in Lancaster to film Tom and Dan in their stylish office and shoot on location with their clients The Chamber North Lancashire and Ripley St Thomas Academy. We had a great time filming with these guys and showcasing their talents.
